Prague (or as it is called in Czech, "Praha") was a really neat city to see. Lance and I are both big history buffs, and this was a great place to our fill!
We got to see the world's largest castle: Prague Castle! It takes up over 7 acres and some of the original castle, dates back to the 9th century, is still visible along with all the new and modern parts ! Think of the castle as a big square shape and inside the square are all the courtyards and fountains and it's very own cathedral?! Yes.... It has it's very own cathedral, smack dab in the center. It is HUGE! The construction of the Gothic Saint Vitus Cathedral was started in 1344! Unbelievable! Think... America wasn't even on a map yet!!

We also go to see the Charles Bridge! It is the oldest stone bridge in Prague. It was build in 1357! Still amazes me... It had 30 statues that line both sides of the bridge.
Fun fact about the Charles Bridge.... Remember watching Mission Impossible? This bridge is in the movie. It is where Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) runs up the stairs, in the first part of the movie, and is running across a bridge and is looking down into the water... This is the same bridge! Also, it was shown in xXx with Vin Diesel. SO, more than likely... you have seen the Charles Bridge and didn't realize it!!!

Our second day was spend in Karlovy Vary (or Carlsbad - which is where America gets our Carlsbad NM, Carlsbad Caverns National Park and Carlsbad, CA from this town). It is the most famous spa town in the Czech Republic. People go there for 4 week treatments and enjoy the thermal baths and mineral water that is fresh from the earth (which made Lance and I gag). They swear by it! Even Beethoven vacationed and spent time there!
And guess what? Even though you have probably never heard of it..... you have see it :) There is a famous hotel, Hotel Pupp ("poop" - yeah, I know... right.), that was featured in the movie Last Holiday with Queen Latifah. She stayed in the hotel and got spa treatments and walked the town of Karlovy Vary. Well... if you didn't see that movie.... I'm pretty sure you saw the next one that was filmed here.... See that building behind Lance and I?...... that is the casino that Bond... James Bond walks into in Casino Royale! He ALSO stays at the Hotel Pupp, where the big poker game and fight scene is filmed. :)

If you ever get a chance, Prague and Karlovy Vary are both towns that you should see!
